REPRODUCTION BACKGLASS

From-scratch redraw, by artist RAY LOCKHART, CPR Art Team

It's rare a project comes along like this one.  It's almost wrong to call it a "Reproduction" because the entire process by
career artist Ray Lockhart was to draw & build this art package entirely by hand.  Zero computers. True fine art.  At it's core, this glass
is an original art piece created in ink, by tracing an original glass as a guide.  It's so close to the original Timothy Elliott piece, in look,
feel, colors, and oldschool quirks of the hand-cut methodology (equivalent to the period) that without an original glass to compare it to,
Ray Lockhart should have signed HIS name at the bottom too.  The cool thing is that you are truly getting a fine art creation by
another entirely different artist - with the nuance of his style incorporated into the lines and details, all with the original Elliott glass
used as the base guide to the whole build.  Unlike our other artists and projects, this piece was not rebuilt into separations
by vectorizing every microscopic detail on the computer zoomed in at 5000%.  Thus this glass has an earthy analog feel, with
all the benefits and misgivings of the original rubylith & hand mastering of the era.  So it's more of a redux than a reproduction!

The original glasses were produced by different vendors for Williams, and there are at least two distinct versions out there,
mostly with different color fills here and there.  Also there is a rarer "hot pink car" version (often called the prototype or "test" glass).
Either way, remember this redux-glass is a single version by one artist.  There may be slightly different color fills here and there that
could be different from the old glass you have.  Nothing to worry about, you simply put your old glass in the closet anyway!
