These were from an actual Diner backglass run, but rejected due to an ink reaction on the backing white layer. A rare and yet costly error. From the front, these look fine. BUT when backlit, you can very plainly see the stippling effect in the backing white layer, making them unusable in an actual machine.
Rather than just destroy them, we decided to see to see if anyone wanted a few as wall art, as they do look great unlit. To ensure they can only be used as wall art, and to satisfy our license requirements, they will have the backside permanently watermarked in black ink. It is permanent and large enough that it would stand out like a sore thumb if backlit. Therefore, these are not good candidates for “lightboxes” or similar applications.
